The Orders of Heaven
Explore the celestial hierarchy of Our Watchers: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Ophanim, Seven Spirits, Archangels and the Hosts of Heaven.
The Eternal Light
At the center stands Eloah—the Eternal One, source of creation and judge of all realms. In the novel’s cosmology, His voice shapes reality and His Light sustains existence.
The Supreme Orders
The Seraphim burn nearest the Throne and keep creation’s eternal song. Cherubim guard mystery and holy knowledge. Thrones bear the weight of judgment. Ophanim—wheels within wheels, eyes upon eyes—move at the Eternal command and mark the rhythm of creation.
The Seven Spirits
A unified ring of living light serves as messenger of final judgment. Their presence signals not merely power but completion: the point at which Heaven’s deliberation has ended.
The Hosts
Below and around these orders are archangels, Dominions, Powers, Virtues, Principalities and armies of the Hosts. This hierarchy is part of the fictional architecture of Our Watchers, drawing on angelic imagery from multiple traditions but not presented as a doctrinal system.
