The First Humans

The Breath-Born and the house that follows

Meet Adam, Eve, Cain, Seth, Awan, Azura and Aclia in the pre-Flood world of Our Watchers.

Adam and Eve

Adam is formed from dust and animated by the breath of the Eternal Light. Eve—Eva, Mother of Life—is created with wisdom, tenderness and strength. Their household becomes the human center of a story whose consequences reach far beyond Edenia.

Cain and the First City

Cain carries brilliance and burden. Builder and innovator, he forms the first city; his line grows around craft, metal, ambition and a hunger for knowledge. That makes his world especially vulnerable to teachings that arrive too quickly.

Seth and the House of Worship

Seth is steadfast, discerning and righteous, the anchor of Adam’s house and the line through which worship is restored. Azura serves as a bridge among siblings and clans; Awan accompanies Cain into the wandering lands of Nod.

Aclia

Aclia is graceful, soft-hearted and marked by the memory of Abel. In the novel’s canon she becomes beloved by Semyaza, placing one human life at the center of the forbidden-union storyline. Aclia’s role is part of Our Watchers fiction rather than a claim about the canonical Genesis text.

Source boundary: “Our Watchers” sections describe Belinda Jackson’s fictional canon. “Ancient Record” sections summarize source traditions for context; they are not presented as identical to the novel’s cosmology. See the Archive’s Ancient Records for references.
